Hi,
I remember, around june or july last year, reading an announcement -ie: press
release- in both photo magazines I usually read (french CdI and Reponse
Photo) by Kenko announcing bayonette mount pinhole (psuedo-)lenses. These
"lenses" were in reality only a sort of thick mounting ring with a calibrated
pinhole, and a glass plate (coated ??? hmmm don't think so) for dust
protection. Apparently there were two models planned, a 50mm (with f240) and
... another one (sorry can't remember), and could be mounted on all major
brands. The price was quite low (300ff, which is about 50 US$), justifiably
so for experimenting. The release date was not given, but I hoped it would
appear soon.
The kenko site at
http://www.kenko-tokina.co.jp/photo/photo-main.html, seems to show the said
accessories (last item on the right frame which is at
http://www.kenko-tokina.co.jp/photo/ph-01-fr.html), but its in japanese. And
their official importer in the US, THK Photo products, doesn't mention it.
I was wondering if anybody had seen it in a photo shop anywhere ??
Oh, and my second question is, considering the long exposure times this
imposes, will an ME body be suitable for such usage, or will it eat the
batteries away ??
Thanks.
Fabrice..needs to change perspectives for a while.
