I believe that you're mistaken, Bill. A  message was just posted
here (yesterday, the day before?) from a list member who just
ordered a new LX from Peter, at Camera Direct in the UK. If you
go to Camera Direct's web site you'll see the LX listed, along
with a fair amount of accessories.  Within the past year several
people on this list, myself included, purchased new LX cameras
from a source in Japan.  Rumors abound about the demise of the
LX, but somehow they're still being purchased.  I suspect,
however, that its days are truly numbered, and that parts and
supplies are dwindling <sigh>
