I don't know about the rest of you, but I find it hard to actually get out
there and seriously take pictures. Maybe once a month I get a chance to get
serious and put forth a concentrated effort. I carry a camera with me at
all times, but if I used it 1/10 times I would probably be exaggerating the
figure. It occurred to me yesterday, that this was a major waste.
So, my new self-assignment is that I am going to take a minimum of one
picture a day. I will stop the car, or myself and take a picture. If
there's nothing obviously interesting, I will reexamine my surroundings and
find a way to get a potentially interesting shot.
Also, there's a beautiful 75+ ft Ponderosa Pine standing alone (we call it
Lonesome Pine), backed by a brush covered hill, that I pass every day going
to/from work. I would like to photograph it in all four seasons and in
various lighting conditions, even at night. It would be a study of this
single solitary tree.
