I used to have a non-SMC Pentax-A version, which I think is the same as
the Takumar version. It was perfectly acceptable for most purposes.
The focus and zooms rings were a bit slack, and the build quality
wasn't up to much. However, I did take this picture with it, so it
could perform reasonably well, given half a chance.
