> Do you think they'll go for lots of $$$$ on eBay?
Not till they're discontinued. Until then they'll sell poorly.

Actually this is a re-release of an older lens, a 45mm
Tessar-type called
the "Guide Number" because it had a scale for figuring out flash
guide
numbers.
The new manual-focus FM3A is a hybrid of the FE2 and FM2,
upgrading a
number of parts of the FM2, most notably the shutter. It has
1/4000th top
shutter speed, 1/250th flash sync, and TTL flash metering.

I have the Nikkor GN Auto that I bought new while I was
stationed in Japan. It's a very nice lens. You set the Guide
number on it and lock it in place, Then, as you focus, the
aperture changes according to the distance automatically. It
was a very handy lens for folks that used flash. That was
before automatic (thyristor) flashes and TTL OTF metering. The
GN Auto is extremely sharp and compact. The new lens should be a
good seller.
