Please, don't try to confuse our President.  He requires no help on that score.

As a Ruthenian (or Rusyn)-American, however, I must point out that we do not have our 
own country, nor have we
ever had one. As peasants, with no army or military tradition, we have been overrun 
and occupied by our larger
and more aggressive neighbors, including Hungary, Austria, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, 
and even Slovakia, for
millennia.  As a result, there are more people of Rusyn heritage in North America 
today than in Europe. We do
have an element named after us, however, Ruthenium.<g>
