Yes, he is right. I am using two Metz flashes equipped
with SCA adapter dedicated to Z-1 (I can't remember
number) and everything work perfect in digital modus
with Z-1 and MZ-5 and also (same SCA adapter) in
analog modus with Program A. Also no problems with ME
Super and K-1000!

I would highly recommend using Metz flashes to users
who have different cameras with different flash modus.
