Absolutely. The MZ-S is indeed the MZ-1 we asked for for years. The wish for the MZ-1
can be destilled into small size, high built quality and not necessarily overloaded
with features. One of the consensuses was that a pro built camera should not
necessarily be large like the competition. Basically, its seems like Pentax have gone
for EOS-1V built but in an MZ-sized body. A brilliant idea which fills a hole in the
market. Th trade off is a compact shutter and a compact film transport but on pure
feature count I'll bet the MZ-S surpasses the Z-1p. Also, the improved interface
adress some of the criticism that can be directed towards the Z-1p.
