>From the discussion of the Photokina prototype I remember that the the sensors in
the middle are aligned horizontally (so that they are sensitive to vertical
structures), while the two sensors on the left as well as the two sensors on the
right are aligned vertically (so that they are sensitive to horizontal
structures). No cross-sensors. Someone else probably owns the patents.
