Honestly, I'd wait to see how they look and feel in your hands. And what
the street price is going to be.
I just got a PZ-1p myself last month, and love it, so far.
I also have an extensive MF lens collection:
28mm, 50mm, 100mm, 200mm and 300mm, plus my screw mounts (with my K mount
adapter)
I enjoyed using both types on my ZX-5n, and will do the same on the PZ-1p.
I have also increased my AF lenses, because many tings I shooting now are
things I'll be happy with the meters exposure most of the time and I wan tot
be able to shoot faster.
You manual lenses, if quick enough, can be used auto focus with the Pentax
1.7xAF Teleconvertor. I highly recommend this if you have a decent SMC lens
collection of lenses!
Do I regret gettign a PZ-1p a month before the NEW camera comes out? No,
price is great mail order. Now if the new flgship data imprinting looks
valueable to me in the future, then I might consider, but since every kind
of tries to keep up with the Jones, maybe in a year Pentax will have a
databack for the MZ-S like the new Minolta that records the setting so you
can download them to your computer...now thats slick!
