Hi all
A lot have been said. Sales figures will say even more..
I believe Pentax has seen the light! The 35mm SLR market is shrinking or
even dieing. PJ's will want digital cameras. Others want P&S, digital P&S or
Medium Format. Still its possible to market small, durable, nifty, capable
SLRs for pros (other than the PJs) and for advanced amateurs/semi pros.
Building a huge F5-like 35mm SLR, that can do anything, can only be done
successfully if you already have A LOT of buyers that just need a new body -
e.i. Nikon/Canon. If Pentax did that, it would be suicide. Pentax reaches
the pro buyers through the 645n, the 67II and the new, small, durable, 6MP
full frame SLR (if they manage to market new lenses).

To me, the MZ-S makes perfect sense. If you guys need a state of the art
35mm SLR with lots of fast lenses to make a living, buy a Nikon or a Canon
like the rest. So, stop whining for crying out loud - and buy a 67II, a MZ-S
and the new digital twin. That's all you need.
