I'd wager a little of my filthy lucre on this observation;
in five years, digital will have broken into two sales markets:
1) "pro"; for the medium format-4 x 5 crowds and PJs and
2) Amateur: sub $100 (3 MPX or less) point and shoots.
There is no room for any other price ranges. And once the PJ market had gone
into the replacement/upgrade cycle rather than new market penetration,
overall digital will suffer severe reverses.
I'll also wage that the new PENTAX digital "twin" to the MZ-S will tank in
two years, three tops.
