Hi Ramesh

I was using my Z1-p for slide film, and my MZ-5n for prints. I wasn't doing
it deliberately, it just seemed the way things panned out. I eventually got
around to whacking some Astia in the MZ-5n and found the results to be
better than what I get out of my Z-1p. I've just had my MZ-5n replaced with
an MZ-3, and I'll probably continue with things as they were with the
MZ-5n. I made no exposure allowances when I was using the MZ-5n, except
sometimes to bracket at 1/2 or 1 EV where conditions dictated it to be
prudent to do so.

I view my slides on a small light box through a loupe. I wanted to buy the
Pantax 5.5x, it covers the whole slide with almost no distortion. It also
costs $275 here, so I settled on a Nikon 8x(?), which isn't as good, but
was 1/4 the price.

I have had printed a number of my slides as 12 x 18's, and I was suitably
impressed with the results. The cost was a tad higher than I'd pay from
negatives, but it is wonderful getting a print that is almost exactly as
you see it on the film.

Whatever you decide to do, remember it is always fun to play around with
new things.

Cheers

Jon
