As you've been advised, the length is personal but the size of the room *if 
inside* must have a bearing if you're choosing primes. 
I shot a 80-200* f/2.8 FA AF for years. I can't tell you what focal length I 
shot most but I'd guess from 100 out to 180 most of the time. 
*Whereas a prime lens is good, I personally hate zooming or composing with my 
feet.
