Hi everyone,
Just wanted to rave about my favourite accessory. It
is a set of Cosina close-up "lenses". There is a set
of three which are all the size and shape of a normal
screw in filter. They fit into a little case
approximately 7cm X 7cm X 3cm, which goes on my camera
strap. I got them for NZ$25 (about ?US$10) 5 years ago
at a camera shop sale.
They magnify the image and blur the background, and
you can use just one (all different magnifications) or
all three together. They screw in exactly like
filters.
They are wonderful for the closeup flower pictures I
like to do, and maybe insects if I could convince any
to pose for me. Yeah sure you could maybe use a really
powerful zoom and large aperture, but these are a lot
smaller and lighter to carry around. I take them
everywhere.
