Yup. 
In tough lighting or when I'm not sure I'll nail the shot, backlighting or 
when flare might be a factor, I've often shot 800 at 640 and 100 at 80 (not @ 
64. I'm never ~that~ unsure).
Whether doing so does any good is anyone's guess, or if there is an edge, 
again I don't know, but I ~feel~ more confident.
When I was still PJing, I loaded and shot at box speed, confident in my 
abilities and aware that my photo editor would not care about flare or 
anything else if I got the shot. Stranger still, I've never, under any 
circumstance, shot PORTRA 160NC at any other than box speed.
