There are too extremes in dealing with OT messages. One is to be so
restrictive that the list becomes stale with its members scared to bring up
any subject that is not 110% Pentax related. The other is to allow all sorts
of garbage usually with the caveat that others can ignore that stuff if they
wish. That is an open license to so dilute the list that serious Pentax
users will go elsewhere.
So far we seemed to have found a happy middle ground, though we often move
around the middle rather than walking a straight line. Such is life.
