Sorry, but I don't think so.  If the image is not focused on the
film plane (or the film plane is not where the image is focused)
then all the dof in the world will not give a sharp image.

Obvious things (ie. things I can think of):  Is the effect
consistent?  If so, this would lead me towards a
manufacturing/design fault, or maybe something really daft like
a speck of dirt misaligning the back.  Does it change
consistently through the film?  Does the effect remain with a
change of film type?
