Hi John, I asked this question some time ago. The remote cable release for the MZ-6/ZX-L is "Cable Switch CS-205" which has a different plug to the cable switch F, indeed it's a brand new plug that's not compatible with any other cable release. B&H sell them.
I couldn't bring myself to spend that amount of money on something that is *so* simple, and doesn't effect the optical quality of my photos, so I made on myself. http://members.iinet.net.au/~celsim/cablerelease.htm A side effect of doing this is that you can choose the length of cable, the type of switch, or even connect it to a break-out box on your computer and have all sorts of programmed exposure fun. The downside is that you may feel that it doesn't look professional enough (I'll bite my tongue on that one). I really like my MZ-6 (ZX-L), my only real problem with it is the viewfinder magnification/quality. I don't own a 5n, so I cannot compare. To be honest I prefer the "feel" of my Program A and the features of my MZ-6. Even though it's been out awhile all I can find is the ZX-5n. Which cable release works with the ZX-L,the 205,F or both ? Also if anyone is using the ZX-L, how does it stack up against the 5n ? Thanks.
