You are one of the finest sources of knowledge of the Pentax equipment for me. However, there are things that make me wonder... Tell me why you become so indignant whenever anybody says anything unfavourable about the MZ-S. You seem to be terribly offended in some way... Moreover, why do you say something like "complete nonsense", when one writes about something experienced personally and later somebody else confirms it? Do you think I was drunk or mentally disabled or something when I tested the release button? I don't have the experience in the photography of 20 years or something, always was a full amateur, but on the other hand I think I tried out enough cameras, both autofocus and manual focus, to have my own point of wiev and to tell one release button from another. I say that the MZ-S release has no clear halfway stop unlike other Z- and MZ-series cameras, you say it's just the opposite (at least with the Z-1p). However, you say that the MZ-S release is much like the one of the 67II, while I said before that it's like in the Super A (although with more resistance). > Nonsense. Joseph also insist that he needs two hand to operate the command dial. Did you too? Yet another "Nonsense" charge from you... IMHO things can be called "nonsense" if they are impossible. If, however, they are true, then IMHO you should rather ask "why is it so?" instead of denying the existence of facts... No, I can easily operate the main dial with my thumb. It, however, has nothing to do with either the release button or my problem with using the controls on the back of the camera. The MZ-S is smaller than the Z-1p so my face covers its whole back, while there is a bit of its space left, when I use the Z-1p. Using the main dial of the MZ-S wouldn't be a problem since I'd stay at the Av for all the time, just like I did and do with any camera other than the Z-1p. I wouldn't also switch the AF sensors, as I tend to use the central one anytime. So I'd use the main dial mostly when I didn't look through the viewfinder. I know that everything is the matter of habit. I'd probably get used to the MZ-S interface and find the way to overcome the difficulties... if I had to, i.e. if I had to use the MZ-S only. However, as I have a choice, I pay attention to the smallest things that would make the shooting process uncomfortable. And please, don't say I should switch the system... I'm a big Pentax fan, I like the backward compatibility, no-nonsense designs and many more... The MZ-S is but one of few Pentax cameras that I find rather unsuitable to my needs and expectations. But that's OK since I don't need it. The PDML is a disscuss list, isn't it? Its main goal is to share experience on various aspects of the Pentax products. isn't it? Well, I wanted to share my experience with the release button of the MZ-S with other PDML-ers. Your approach to the subject, however, makes it pointless. I'm really sorry to write it. Please, Pal, don't be offended... Regards Artur ***************r-e-k-l-a-m-a************** Masz dosc placenia prowizji bankowi ? mBank - zaloz konto http://epieniadze.onet.pl/mbank
