Unfortunately the IS function will not be available on Pentax (and Minolta) cameras. This is due to the fact that Pentax has not specified the IS functions and protocols for K mount, hence this function is not available with the current incarnation of K-mount. Also, Pentax versions of Sigma lenses do not have HSM motors, again because Pentax does not have a functioning HSM system in the marketplace. This will change in the future if Pentax creates such systems for their new and/or existing cameras. Best regards, Albert
