Hi Cotty, Have you looked at the Tre-D range of tripods, the 7902 model is available with or without a geared center column or no center column at all, it extends to a max of 1.61m, weights 5.5kg and supports 15kgs, uses twist-locks for the legs and is designed for large or medium format cameras. The legs on the 7900 can be opended to 25, 55 or a 80 degree angle to postion a camera 37cm from the ground and you can fix the head upside down if you wanna go lower. The 3 way head it uses is made of cast aluminium and holds 25kg, works for left handers as well
