I shot my first roll of Portra UC a few days ago. I metered it at 320,
and since I was shooting some snow scenes, I used an incident meter. The
exposures are nice. I had just finished a roll of Plus-X, so my meter
was set at 100 when I began. I forgot to change it before the first shot
and overexposed that frame by two stops. It's not bad. A little mushier
on the detail than the frame I exposed at 320 but quite printable. The
only bright color in any of the shots was a green watering can that had
filled with snow. The color appears to be quite vibrant and saturated on
the machine print. I'll probably scan that frame to make an ink jet
print. That will tell me more in regard to how saturated the color might be.
