This is basically my view on this as well. Another important issue is that the 645 
cameras have the "modern" camera infrastructure in place, like AF and metering - new 
lenses, whereas other, larger format do not. And when does the law of diminishing 
return start to set in for digital? I would assume as sensors are an expensive 
commodity, as opposed to film, the viable limit in format will be set somewhat lower 
for digital than for film.
