    Now I don't have a Z1p, nor do I have a 500FTZ, but I seriously
    considered a slave flash solution at some point.
    1. The short answer is no, the camera only controls the FTZ flash, so
    the slave may very well overexpose.
    2. The useful answer is it depends on where you place the slave and
    if you tune it on low power. Should you arrange the slave to
    provide the secondary/ambient light, the exposure might come up
    right.
    3. The enabling answer is get an MZ-S with its remote flash units.
