Anton,

I don't see it as all or nothing. I don't use mine often, but I enjoy the
fact that I have the option when the situation dictates. I only have one
winder, and have thought about getting another one at some point.

I have five LXen and there have been a couple of times I would have liked to
have a winder on a couple of them at the same time. It was more for
convience than a need for speed. I rarely shoot in continuous mode.

It is one of the beauties of the LX, compact when it needs to be, winder and
motor drives available, and not to mention the different focusing screens...

I would keep at least one if I were you. I can possibly take one off your
hands :-) There may be times when you would find it convenient. But you
need to define your needs and shooting style to really answer if the winders
are for you.

-- I have recently acquired some LX winders for a good price
-- that I may keep or sell on. I have never used winders before
-- and I'm in two minds, they are lovely gadgets for sure and a
-- convenience on some occasions. They make the LX look a tad
-- SERIOUS however and draw attention. They also increase
-- weight, bulk and noise. When I take them off I find I now
-- often forget to wind on! I guess they're a bit all or
-- nothing, either keep them on all the time or off thus
-- avoiding confusion.
--
-- Dunno whether to keep them... any thoughts, suggestions,
-- observations?
