I've had a 30" Mastercut for going on twenty years now, and it's never not
been used. Still going strong (although the plastic parts have yellowed). I
figure the longer I'm able to use it, the better a bargain it was.

If I had it to do over again, the only thing I'd do is get a smaller one. I
almost never need the large size. An X-Acto knife and a ruler would have
done fine for the few times I need to do something large.

Another tip/trick: you can save room in work areas by bolting your trimmer
to the wall. I countersunk washers in holes and used toggle bolts to attach
it to the wall. It's more comfortable to use that way, always at the ready,
but never in the way.
