I have used both of Kodaks C-41 B&W Print Films as well as Ilford XP2 Super.
The XP2 Super is very easy to scan, because the film material is light gray and the Kodaks are orange (my Epson 1630SU has some problems with the Kodaks, my Minolta Scan Elite II is very good with them, and you can use ICE!). From a grain Point of View, the Ilford is the grainiest one, the T400CN is in the middle and the Portra 400B&W is the finest. Comparing the Kodak films, the T400CN has a steeper gradation. Coming to your question :-)), I have enlarged it to 8x10 without seeing any grain and very sharp. If you are interested in an example, you can send me a private email. I found a roll in my bag and might use it for some non-flash work. Will it produce decent 8x10 enlargements?
