One of the things I've noticed about some MX (and the LX aussi), is that the frame spacing can go off if the camera is an older one, or has not been maintained well. That is why I sold my older LX cameras and two years ago bought new ones from Japan. All the MX cameras have been rebuilt or refurbished, and are like new mechanics and electronics.
I was told by someone that there are two series of MX, so I look for the later series. Do you - does anyone - know what the mechanical differences are between the two series?

Every so often, these topics are raised, but when the gun stuff gets going, just duck, and turn off your computer for a week or so... <vbg>
