Good idea Chris. I particularly like it for the following reasons:
1. It eliminates the competition aspect for those that dislike it.
2. Each contributor would have the opportunity to see THEIR personal best in
the collection.
3. Judging and the time spent doing so is nixed.
Maybe we would want to call it something other than "Best of". Maybe
something like "Special Gallery" or "Photographer's Choice".

Bill, I would be very interested in setting this up. I've constructed web
pages before but not on a regular basis as you guys have. Any tips, hints,
templates, etc. would help. When/If you get a chance let's discuss what it
would take (off-list).
This is, of course, only with the blessing of the current mantainers, and
space provider.
I think if we went with Chris's suggestions above, that it makes sense to
have contributions to this gallery be on a less frequent basis. Maybe allow
current contributors to change their selection or new contributors to submit
a selection once a quarter. This would prevent the maintenance task from
being as large as the monthly PUG.
