20 meters is propably better if trying for international coverage :-) My HF tranceiver (good old tube xcvr + 500W linear amp) is packed away and has not been used in the last few years. Now I do have a nice backyard for antennas though... but I suppose I will be in the air propably during the summer from my boat. I want a nice portable xcvr for my sailboat (maybe IC-706MK2G ;-). We are not supposed (allowed) to discuss commercial products over the air, but everyone would just use codenames like "the LX" or "the limited 77" ... right !?
