KEH has the 40/2.8 (@ 1 grade lower than the 43) valued at $300 while the
43/1.9 is at $380.
How long before the ever upward creeping 40/2.8 costs more than the 43/1.9
ltd. (assuming '= cond.' on the 2nd hand market)?

BTW, they also have the 77mm ltd. listed, 2nd hand. First time I've seen
both at the same time.
