Here comes part two.
And I have't yet arrived at what the subject line refers to.

Christmas night me and a couple of friends went to a night club
(mostly young people between 20 and 30). Met and talked to a lot of
nice people. This guy comes up to me "Damn, your pictures were good.
Fantastic!". This was the guitar player in a local band that asked me
to shoot some pictures of them at a live concert last summer.
They insisted I'd shoot in black and white, although I'd prefer
shooting in color. (I don't mind shooting in black and white (in fact
I like it, but somehow it just seems such a waste not picking up the
colors too while they already are there...).
I shot a roll of black and white and three (I think) rolls in color.
Somehow we didn't contact each other until a while later - they
couldn't decide on who was going to do the developing and copying (I
hadn't and haven't yet set up any darkroom in my new houise). They
ended up being in a hurry, and unlike my usual ways I let them have my
undeveloped roll to get copies by them selves. (Usually I wan't to
check my films first and make sure the bad ones won't get seen by
anybody...)
Time went on, I didn't here from them (they are from here, but live in
various places in Sweden), and I pretty much forgot about it myself,
being busy with a whole lot of other stuff.
Of course I was glad to hear that they liked the pictures and got very
keen on seeing how they had come off myself. I was invited to their
concert a few days later, when I was going to get the negs back and
their new CD. I went there. They had forgotten to bring the negs and
the CD, but we had a nice get together anyhow. The beer was on them.
What they hadn't told me, and what I later thought may have
enbarressed them a little, was that they actually already had used
some of my pictures on their just released CD, without first
consulting me on the pictures, as had been agreed upon. I really don't
mind much, since I realised they were hard pressed to get the CD out
till Christmas and probably thought I would be okay about it anyhow.
Today the singer finally came by at work and gave me a copy. The
pictures looked nice enough, although pathetically small - four B&W
pictures on one "CD-page"...
Anyway, photo credits were clearly put down on the cover. I am glad
they liked it and obviously were very satisfied. Obviously I am
entering the Corbijn phase of my photography career, right?
(I still haven got hold of the negs and the set of copies that they
were going to get made, but that's allright. I'll get them sooner or
later.)

(This too got longer than planned. And I still haven't arrived at what
the subject line refers to. I'll get back in a third message.)
