Heres a question for the tech heads. My newly installed XP Pro operating system has a wonky start up habit. Upon start up, it asks what operating system I want to use, either Windows (not installed) or XP Pro. If I tell it to open Windows, I get a very brief Win98 spash screen, then a C prompt. If I ask it to start in XP Pro, it starts normally. I am pretty sure this is caused by a ghost file on the HD when I did the XP install. Anyway, the boot.ini file seems wrong to me, but I don't want to touch it without knowing fer sure what to do with it.
