And, of course, those specks only show to the photographer's eye,
and wouldn't show up on film.

Well, it could also be as old as 26 years - it was first released in
late 1976, I believe.

The ME and the ME Super are not as mechanically rugged as the LX,
but they don't seem to develop "sticky mirror syndrome", either.
This is not to say that their foam parts don't develop "sticky" and
"gooey" characteristics, because they usually eventually do (and
should be replaced if this has happened).  (And, this is not to say
that some of their mechanical parts, such as in the winder
mechanism, don't eventually wear out.)  However, many ME's, ME
Supers, and ME F's just simply go on and on and on and on...

If you like to shoot aperture priority autoexposures, you'll like
the ME - it does a good job with that.  (I personally much prefer
the ME Super or the ME F, since I also like to shoot manually
sometimes, and I'm one of the guys that like those little Up and
Down shutter speed buttons - <g>.)
