DSLRs have a greater dynamic range than slide film, and about the same as negative film. It's a non-problem.

This was said by Michael R about the D1s as well; originally it was not as good as 645 but close enough for him to sell it off. It was far away from the 6X7 which he kept. Now that he has sold off the 67 as well, the D1S is suddenly better than both. This is why there all reason to be sceptical about anything thats being claimed, and why it is impossible to get any meaningful information about digital even if you ask the people using it! You get different answer from different people.

So who else owns a 67 system and a 1Ds would care to comment? To me, anyone who isn't a user of both is just compiling 2nd hand information.

PS: Considering a 67->EOS adapter in the near future.
