It's an Anhinga. A cormorant like bird (also called a snake-bird) that swims with it's body fully sumerged and only it's neck and head above water. It doesn't produce the oils that make ducks and other water birds bouyant so that it can dive easier and catch fish. Nice shot. Good bokeh. Backyard huh? Where do you live? Christian
