Well, all that is true, Bob, but I'm actually pretty content with
the LX winders I have.  My "homebrew" and equipment mod days are
more-or-less over, I think (or, at least, let us just say "there's a
break in the action" - <g>).  I do enough damage in the world of
software nowadays without also venturing into the hardware jungles,
too...

Perhaps.  However, I think that the true mark of a good whale
shooter is not the possession of a high-speed motordrive burning a
half a roll per breach, but is the practiced ability to time a
single shot with the precision of experience - <g>.  The winder is
merely a convenience for getting ready for the next breach, right?
