Well, I took the 645n for a spin in New Orleans this weekend. I carried it with two LXen - both snake-skinned :-) I figure what better place to have them accepted than in New Orleans.
It was less obtrusive to just shoot with the 645n rather than switch between it and the LX. So I used the LX sparingly. I ended up just walking about the French Quarter and taking shots. It was amazing to me how small the LX viewfinder seemed after using the 645n. I hopefully got some great shots at the oldest cemetary - St. Louis No. 1. I did get some shots with the LX for comparison. It surprised my friends when I mentioned I never set foot on Bourbon St. I guess I got my exercise when I figure that I was on my feet for over six hours before sitting down. I ended up taking 5 rolls of 120 Konica print film. I will drop them off tomorrow and hope to have them back by Saturday. I have to pick up my first roll I shot with the 645n tomorrow too. Let me see how this medium format experiment goes... A few months ago I located a bar that had flamenco dancing. I was glad to see that the group is a regular staple of the bar on Satudays. I talked to the lead dancer and asked if they would mind my taking b&w non-flash shots during their performance. They did not mind at all. Surprisingly, the organizer is from the 'home country' - my parents' birthplace, Honduras. I ended up taking two rolls of Kodak ASA 3200. I used the Limited 31/1.8 and 50/1.2. I also ended up using the Limited 77/1.8 for a few close-ups. Not much substance in this post, just wanted to let people know, who might be interested, what I did this weekend. I stopped off at the Naval Aviation museum in Pensacola, Florida on the way back. I decided against the mf camera and used an LX for a couple of shots. Over 400 messages awaiting me on the PDML, whew! Csar Panama City, Florida
