Well, thank you for the answers and explanations about TCs. Today, I have won an auction for the PENTAX-F SMC AF-Adapter 1.7x Converter for about 100USD/Euro.
I plan to use it with my Pentax/Takumar SMC 300/4.0 screw mount. What is quality of this 1.7x Converter? Does it belong to those cheap "softeners" or it will provide good quality/small loss in sharpness?
