My Vote: the 55mm F1.8/2.0 Super-Takumars
Great performers (even without SMC) and they sell for less than $15.00 !

I would have to agree with JCO, though I cast my vote for the 55/1.8K,
widely available for $30 to $50.

I prefer it over my Rikenon P 50/1.4 from f/5.6 to f/16; I prefer my Rikenon
from f/2 to f/4. (Forget about f/1.4 with either.)

On a related note, someone was listing a pair of Rikenon lenses that
included a Rikenon 50/1.4. I asked the seller if it was the P; he said yes.
I told him he should say so and possibly sell it separately from the rest of
the setup, for it is very hard to find. He thanked me and just withdrew his
original ad (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3001728800
), explaining in the ad that it's "no longer available." Uh-huh.

Well, I shot myself in the foot. Two days ago I discovered that I had bent
my Rikenon's autodiaphragm tab (or whatever), and now it won't close beyond
f/5.6.

Proving that no good deed goes unpunished...

Oh, well. Now I can honestly say I "need to keep" my Ricoh and my Pentax
normal lenses.
