Good gnus for a change! Heard back from my repair shop here in Toronto, Komineks. It seems that their second tech that looked at my Vivitar S1 24-48 can indeed repair it, cannibalizing parts from another lens that they found. Man, those guys are great scroungers!
Anyway, finally a bit of good news! And, I should put in another plug for Kominek Camera Repair here in Toronto. Anyone in the area should check them out for repairs.
