They're making a big deal because (in NZ at least) it _is_ a big deal. 99% of
the pro Pentax users are using only the 645 or 67 systems. Pentax 35mm
is almost unheard of in pro circles down here.
The ability for these 645 and 67 users to put their existing range of glass on
the digital body will help Pentax get their foot in the door, and hopefully
tempt them into buying 35mm glass (making it cheaper for the rest of us:).
Then, just for kicks, they'll try those brand new lenses on the old K1000 they
had sitting on the shelf from their student days, and realise just how good
that glass really is...
