No. It was in a Norwegian Photo magazine back in 1980 when the LX was first shown. It was clear that the LX was meant as a professional camera as the then Asahi boss talked about how thoroughly the LX was tested and they couldn't afford to release a professional body that hadn't all the fault ironed out before release.
