TPDMLers can check the Toronto Sun for the latest in the deer saga. A
reporter interviewed me today so I think a story is going in Monday's paper...
Just an update for those who may be interested. I've been spending each
afternoon with a very special vet who has volunteered his time to try to
tranquilize the animal. He came over Friday and Saturday afternoon from 3-6
pm. after driving an hour or so from Oakville ont. (near Toronto). Today
(Sunday) he drove in and hiked the area to get a lay of the land and try to
figure out where the deer with the arrow in its head was hanging out. Said he
saw lots of tracks but no deer. Then my neighbour told me a dog was seen
chasing deer in the valley. I had not seen deer around for two days, that
explains it. People with dogs need to keep them on a leash in deer territory.
The officer from the Ministry of Natural Resources, who was also here
overseeing the rescue, says he can shoot any dog chasing deer. I like dogs I
just think their owners are idiots I'd suggest shooting a couple of owners
while he's at it... (LOL)
Anyway the deer came back tonight. He was eating at my feeder around 8p.m. so
its ok.
P.S. on topic. I plan to take my pics in for developing tomorrow so I will
try to get some images on my web site ASAP. They were taken with a PZ1 and
100-300 through my dining room window. Nice tight headshots.
