Sample images of Optio S revealed

Dear all,

Pentax Japan has launched the official web site for Optio S where two sample images can be found:

These are the first-ever digital images taken by SMC lens. The colour rendition is very good. But I think the noise reduction has been applied too heavily by the image processing software, making the images look flat with not enough contrast. It's okay for an ultra-compact consumer digital camera.

Pentax software engineers need to work harder on the D-SLR.
