Sid,

I bought one of those (in Nikon AF D mount) that was in like new condition,
for $220.  I got a bargain. I think that you could get one for $250 to $275
if you watch camera shows and swap meets but, the lens goes for about $479
brand new, so, with no warranty or money back guarantee, would be about
$285.  You have to consider your local circumstances, though.  If you don't
have local camera shows or swap meets, then $300 is not too bad a price.
