How did you synchronize your colour output to your lab's output?

I didn't actually. :-) I use the sRGB in Photoshop and it's basically the
same as the pics I post to the web

Actually that is not a bad idea since most machines will do ok with sRGB.
You might try working in Adobe 98 in Photoshop and converting a copy to sRGB
to send out to print, The problem with sRGB is that has a narrow gamut.
Adobe 98 is actually fairly close to inkjet and photo gamut. You might want
to try sending them an Adobe 98 file and compare it to the sRGB.
