I'll wait until I've handled the MZ-S before saying anything more about
how easy it is to use flash exposure compensation, since I've never even
held the camera. My point is simply that if I'm shooting in program or a
semi-automatic mode, I don't want to have to go through three or four
steps to set FEC and then have to switch back afterwards. I don't want to
have to go to manual mode and then press a button and turn a dial. And if
a simple dedicated button for FEC would clutter the body, then maybe it
needs to be redesigned. Look at Nikon's F80 for a well-designed FEC
button. Right by the shutter release, directly opposite the regular
exposure compensation. Simple, direct, and fast to use, from any exposure
mode. That's what I'm talking about. If Pentax has made FEC a
flash-driven feature, that's fine with me. I don't care where I activate
it from, but I want it to be relatively fast, and accessible from all
exposure modes.
