I have used some $10 loupes which I wished I had not. Also a 8X Nikon loupe
(same as the Peak) which is expensive for what it is. Quality is not good.
It had too much flare and distortion, and contrast is poor as well. I had to
paint the inside of the loupe matt black to cut down the flare. Now I have a
Schneider 4X MC which is excellent in every way. However, 4X is not powerful
enough to inspect the sharpness (8-10X is more suitable) IMHO.

Cabin CL-5000P is what I have. Quality is good, but it sucks the AAA power
too qulckly so I made a C-size alkaline battery pack which just last and
